September Haven Magazine: Fall is the Time to Save Money on HVAC Replacement

By: Brian Schutt  |  September 8, 2018

homesenseAs the summer heat gives way to cooler fall days, Brian Schutt, co-owner of Homesense Heating & Cooling, says now is the time to purchase new heating and cooling equipment.

“Why wait for something to break down and become more expensive?” Schutt asks. “In the fall, demand for equipment is lower, but the incentives to buy are higher.”

Schutt noted that his client service team sees a lot of homeowners who wait until their home heating or cooling systems fully fail, usually on the hottest or coolest days, when demand is at its highest, and prices are most expensive.

“In the fall, the weather isn’t forcing you into a decision, so you can compare and contrast service providers, equipment benefits, and pricing,” Schutt says. “Also, because the weather is mild, manufacturers offer special rebates.” As the end of the year approaches, suppliers begin inventory updates, and many times offer even greater price reductions.

“If you have been thinking of replacing equipment anyway, fall is a good time to get it taken care of,” Schutt says. “As prices continue to rise with uncertainty around steel and aluminum prices, our goal is to help clients save as much money as possible for new equipment.

At Homesense we offer free and efficient estimates to make the process as easy as possible.”
