We get asked a lot, what kind of hvac work do you do? So, while we’ve talked alot about the specific services on our website, we just figured it made sense to put together a post that was clear for all our customers as we go into summer. Rather than just saying we do repair, service and installation for air conditioners (well I guess we did just say it), I thought I might tell some stories to illustrate.
Most of the time we get a call for an air conditioner, it’s for something that can be fixed pretty easily. These are complicated systems, to be sure, but our trained and experienced technicians are equipped to diagnose and fix every issue your HVAC system can throw at them. Just last week we were called because an air conditioner had frozen up with the weather only 70 degrees. A few hours later our technician was able to assess that the 10 year old air conditioner was low on refrigerant, which he refilled for the customer, with the whole trip costing the homeowner less than $100.
We’ve been talking about this quite a bit over the last month. The A/C service is great for the customer who wants to get the most in the long run out of his or her HVAC equipment. A customer who plans to live in his or her home for a long time will get a great benefit of 3, 4, 5 years of additional life from their furnace, air conditioner, or heat pump.
We have many stories about air conditioner service plans for Indianapolis area customers that have saved them. We recently cleaned a system in a wooded area that hadn’t been cleaned in a few years. As the photo shows, the build-up of dirt was substantial. You can only imagine the impact on the effectiveness of the cooling system, and the potential risks and strain put on the system in the process. The $75 clean-up potentially saved hundreds if not thousands in repairs.

We were called recently by a couple who had moved into a new place a few years ago, but it had an older system. They had used it a few years, but knew it was on it’s last legs.
