iWave: Air Purifier for the Air You Breathe
iWave Air Purification System
iWave-R is the world’s first self-cleaning, no maintenance needlepoint bi-polar ionization generator designed specifically for treating air in residential duct A/C systems.
iWave’s manufacturer, Global Plasma Solutions, provides systems for over 1,000 K-12 schools and healthcare facilities including Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, and other institutions.
What does that mean?
iWave is an air purifying device that installs in any ducted air conditioning system. When air passes over the iWave, ions produced by the device work to reduce pathogens, allergens, particles, smoke, and odors in the air without producing harmful byproducts.
How does it work?
iWave uses patented needle-point bi-polar ionization technology to create equal amounts of positive and negative ions. When these ions are introduced into the air stream, they work to break down passing pollutants and gases into compounds like oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and water vapor.
When the ions come in contact with viruses, bacteria, or mold, they work to disrupt the pathogens. The ions also attach to allergens like pollen and other particles, causing them to band together until they are large enough to be caught by your ventilation system’s air filter.
iWave’s technology generates ions similar to those created naturally by lightning, waterfalls, and ocean waves. The system is designed to produce these ions without generating harmful ozone.
