Today we’re going to dive into the brands available in Indianapolis, the strengths and weaknesses, and what might be a good fit for you.
Some of the main brands you’ll see advertised in the Indianapolis area are Trane, Carrier, Bryant, and Lennox. These are all quality brands. At the same time, these are all heavily advertised brands, so you can expect to pay more if you decide to go in these directions. Opinions on all of these products differ depending on what technician you ask, but it’s worth noting that Bryant, owned by United Technologies under the Carrier brand name, is headquartered in Indianapolis on West Morris St. As well, Trane, owned by Ingersoll Rand, has a strong local presence a corporate office in Carmel off of Pennsylvania St.

These just scratch the surface. The bottom line it seems is that you need to trust the company and technician doing the installation or replacement, as we touched on in our previous post about how to shop for your HVAC service provider.
After these top-priced brands, there are many other brands to consider. These are the brands you may not have heard of but offer a great product for an excellent value. Tops on the Homesense Heating & Cooling list are Goodman. It continues to expand its product line, adding many high-efficiency options, heat pumps, and a variety of controls and thermostats that make it competitive with the higher-priced brands. Other high-quality high-value options worth consideration is Payne, Rheem, American Standard, Nordyne, and York.
